  1. hehe, yeah that was quite an impressive one. edit: why does it move in such huge jumps (downwards)? It doesn't make sense. If anything else I owned did that I'd assume there was some news. With gold it's just normal now and I tend to ignore it!
  2. nor do I, I generally get the maples as they tend to be the same or similar price.
  3. sarnia silver have some kookaburras and ox's at £17.50 each, free p&p... seems like a decent deal for UK people http://www.sarniasilver.com/id24.html
  4. They do indeed, hidden right at the bottom of the list: Current prices are period sell buy dec09 165.9 167.9 mar10 167.7 170.2 uk wide prices, I guess that's the nationwide index but am usnure. March one looks interesting. Reckon the crash will have begun by then? That's as late as they are willing to go by the looks of things.

  10. Dublin, on the way out during security screening. Like I said, they let me go. I don't think they care about what it is so long as it is unlikely to explode.
  11. I bought about 40oz of coins through Dublin / Manchester airport in hand luggage. I was stopped by security as i guess a tube of a dense metal looks a little odd. They asked what they were then let me get on my way.
  12. Yup, I'm not going to time the market. I have neither the time nor the inclination. I've got cash in GM, I'll just slowly drip feed it in...
  13. Wh got a bit of a battering, down to 167 now. May be worth a gamble (sorry).

  17. "Please note that the 2010 Olympic Gold and Silver Maple 1 oz. coins are only available to Canadian & US residents due to IOC regulations governing sales and distribution." That's for the ones that say they are only for shipping outside the US (Silver Maple 1 oz ( Olympic Edition) (Only shipping outside US) ) Plus, they want £96 for postage, insurance is extra...
  18. Did any other geeks here find that funny or was it just me?
  19. Hmm.. How does this work? What's the limit? If I bought the coins in France, do I have to pay VAT? It was paid in the EU, aren't we all one happy nation? Or is it because people are abusing the channel islands VAT freeness and the government demands its percentage of the pie?
