  1. I feel this guy talks a lot sense...... How Gold and Silver prices cause currency systems to crash......... he seems to know what he's talking about.
  2. I got them to send the introductory coin. I got the coin which came in a velvet pouch and you also get a pair of white handling gloves. It was all very cheap and tacky. I weighed the coin which was about 3 grams, 1/10 of an ounce. Seeing as I was only after the gold content it wasn't great as you could get a similar weighted coin from CID for I think it was about £55 at the time. So you'd end up paying double, not now though, for your "collectable, limited edition blah blah coin". I'd avoid them like the plague personally. I sent everything straight back, asking them to remove me from their mailing list, recorded of-course. Carried on getting mail from them for a while but sent everything back return to sender. Haven't received anything from them for sometime now.
  3. Great thanks....magic....this internet stuff is amazing. Thanks.......you can see another thanks on post No7
  4. first quote from wren, not sure how you do double quotes. "Typical. My first platinum coin arrived just today. It's a nice-looking Isle of Man Noble with the neat Viking ship." Yes, I am also wondering where to get some platinum, physical of course, any recommendations would be great.
  5. sure, as one of the reply's points out - "Seems like they would have a lot more than 28 long contracts if they thought gold was about to explode, though." Thanks
  6. Goldman Sachs Goes Net Long Gold on TOCOM Just wondering if this is significant in the grand scheme of things or am I clutching at straws?
  7. Oh....it was your order that used up the limit I think it's all above board, below is part of the newsletter, they refer to some EC article As of July 1st 2008 we will no longer sell silver coins with 7% German VAT. As of then we will apply the UK customary 17.5% VAT. This change is necessary as per Article 34 of the EC directive 2006/112/EC by which mail order businesses are only allowed to ship up to a certain value per year of VAT liable goods to other EC countries.
  8. Hi all, first post here........thanks for all the info.........it's been a gold mine. sorry. But really do mean it. Anyway got a newsletter from coininvest today informing me that they can't send silver to the UK using 7% VAT (the German rate) used up their quota or something, so now have to charge 17.5% VAT. If you have or can use a European address for delivery you can still get the German rate. Does anyone know of any reputable dealers where you can buy silver at a lower rate than the UK but get it delivered to a UK address? Thanks fool
