I disagree. If you replace the word "clever" with the word "paranoid" you might get closer to the truth. I don't recall any great analysis or insights from him, just regurgitation of grand conspiracies he read elsewhere and annoyance that people didn't go along with his opinion.

 

If you can point to any cleverness I'm all ears, so to speak.

its not something I'd make a habit of, normally I would even make people jump over bridges to get access to images like that, however, its an issue I actually believe quite strongly in, and too many people question the truth or have a rose tinted view (via the mainstream media) of just how disgusting whats going on right now is, that I justified ending the argument over just what phosphorus bombs actually mean by showing it.

Those pictures are from prime time arab news of the Lebanon conflict, and us westerners sit here in our little safe houses wondering why they hate us with such a vengeance.

 

If I had a choice that set of images would be displayed to every man woman and child in the US and UK, that would soon fix things a bit.

 

The worst part is, there is a good chance if we carry along the road we are on, that there will be no censoring those types of images, you'll be watching them out of your front window.

fair enough, eveyone's entitled to an opinion. I mean look at what Pluto, CGNAO & GF were saying over 2 years ago, they also probably came across as paranoid to some. But now look where we are & what has happened. Now after reading a lot (& I mean a lot) of stuff, many hours every day/night, I decided that they were right & I suddenly became 'eyes wide open'

 

I have quite a lot of info on cdswamp that would prove to the contrary, BUT I wouldn't want to post it without his permission. I can't prove he's clever, how can anyone prove they are clever, it's a conscious decision that a person must make based on evidence to date.

On cdswamp, for what it's worth I found him so irritating that I stopped coming here, haven't been around for a month or so.

 

Now, some may think that means he served a useful purpose. But I'm not surprised he managed to get a ban in the end. Shame in a way as he was occasionally interesting to talk to, but he does seem to have crossed the line in some of those linked posts.

I think he's clever, certainly well-informed. Just extremely intolerant of those who disagree with him, and far too ready to assume that anyone who doesn't believe every detail of his version of a conspiracy theory is a shill or moron.

For example magpie, I was advised to disregard you as a poster on an unamed site about house prices . I was told that you were a troublemaker BUT I always make my own mind up as I didn't know you. There were various times when I backed you up or agreed with some of your posts, because I thought you made sense, I went against some of those who gave me special access to things . I stand by my choice/stance even today.

It's always a tricky one. As a mod I hate to ban people, and have only ever given one or two serious warnings. And the whole HPC thing is a rgeat example of what can go wrong with over-zealous moderation. Plus, as you said earlier, the last couple of years give us plenty of examples of people who appeared to be making extreme arguments who have proved to be right, so it's a good time to remain open even to apparently mad ideas.

 

I haven't followed the ins and outs of it. I just found cdswamp's personal abuse a bit much personally, but would hope that there is a way of dealing with it short of a ban. He's as much right to be heard as anyone, but maybe he could do with toning down the ad hominem attacks.

I was hoping you could demonstrate his cleverness by way of referencing some posts which either showed some insight which wasn't gained from a conspiracy theorist or contained thought-provoking analyses of events and circumstances. It appeared to me that he underestimated the extent to which other people are aware of the sort of things he was posting about and mistook their rejection of his claims for ignorance rather than considered opinion. In fact, I remember a thread where Dr Bubb was essentially in agreement with CDSwamp but was called a mushroom because his version of the NWO PTB was not quite the dystopian nightmare CDS signed up to. In my book a clever person will able to demonstrate that his claims have merit and will not resort to calling his opponents shills or dismissing their intellect.

 

I used to get annoyed by CGNAO on HPC but only because he didn't say enough. The cryptic posts with a 100% guarantee and a suggestion of clairvoyance or insider information were irritating but not demeaning or offensive. The posters I valued least on HPC were the ones whose 100% certainty was not in financial market predictions, where one can be proved either right or wrong, but in some philosophy, such as the racists, militant smokers, anti-statists and climate change deniers (not the sceptics) who couldn't conceed that there could be circumstances where their views didn't hold true. Having someone redefine reality or declare that all other people must be tolerant of their habits while they show no tolerance in return can never lead to a worthwhile discussion. From what I read of CDSwamp, he fell into that category.

They have leafletted Gaza to tell the population to move out of buildings used by Hamas. This is pure propaganda to make the West think that the IDF has even an ounce of humanity whilst it slaughters the civilian population and to reinforce the Human Shield motif. Do you know what weaponry Israel thinks your neighbour has, and where would you go to if you did?

conspiracy theorists views (or people with different opinions as I call them) are by nature impossible to prove. I feel he has posted a lot of good stuff personally.

Sometimes you just need 'gut feeling' or 'instinct', you can't buy it, you can't learn it, you either have it or you don't imo, although I do believe it get's better with experience & intelligence.

 

If we were to agree with the proven documents/data/government speak, then apparently we had an economy with sound fundamentals just 6 months ago, no severe financial problems & this was just a blip not even a recession, GB even said so himself. So, either I am extremely clever because I didn't agree with those statements (which I am not, but what I do have is the ability to read between the lines & intrepet data/info/decisions etc) or GB et all are all extremely dumb, bearing in mind they/he does this for a living, is surrounded by a trained team of the best experts in the UK & has access to a lot of data that I don't, combined with the fact that he is making the decisions before we know about them.

 

so something's wrong, very, very wrong somewhere surely ?

All I know is that I am not shocked or surprised by what's happening on a daily basis, whereas all around me who believe what they were/are being told, appear to be sh1tting themselves.

perhaps if you read his book then you could really judge for yourself if he know's his stuff.
