underling 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2011 Saw Hexstatic play a drum and bass/breaks/electronica AVJ set at Big Chill '03 (?) and very entertaining it was too. All the way through they would drop various uses of film and vocal with the phrase 'Hexstatic' including using a sample of an episode of C4's 'Countdown'. They dropped the Cliff Richard piece and everyone was looking confused at each other believing the set to be finished and the tune was being played as a 'clear-out' tune. Most started to wander off (the intro is perfectly timed long/short enough for maximum effect) and then of course the tune starts to loop and the rush (literally) to get back in was intense. A great gig and experience. It took me 7 years to find the piece online.
