A slightly different tack to many...but I love Electronic music

Enjoyed that. Haven't listened to G2G previously though and only come across them before on a tune called 'Journey of the Dragons'. I may have posted that here previously, I'm not about to trawl the thread to confirm so here it is .................

I really struggle to remember what I've posted here sometimes and I know I've posted this somewhere in the not too distant past so apologies if duplicated but along the same vein ...........

And there's also good hip hop coming out of UK....I like this guy at the moment:

Roots Manuva and Ty, Rodney P often get played at home. Around the time my tastes started to move away from hip hop Mud Fam and Brotherhood were coming to the fore. Nowadays most 'Rap' I listen to is mainly as an appearance on someone elses stuff.

** shrugs **

I guess I'm getting old and out of touch. It's young mans game after all. :-)

Some lovely (classical?) stuff you've posted LC1, not something I've listened to a great deal but all the same ..................

* applauds *

Complete guess judging by the names of the composers/performers but are these all European ?

You're probably familiar with this composer ............

Thanks for these, they are very nice! I hadn't heard of that composer, but will look him up now.

I've recently started getting into more classical stuff, some of the famous dead composers but also a lot of contemporary 'modern classical' as I think of it (not sure if this is a recognised genre!?).

Deaf Center are a Norwegian duo, Johann Johannsson is an Icelandic composer, Max Richter a German-born Brit, and Yasushi Yoshida I assume is Japanese!

Johannsson and Richter are prolific composers and all their albums I've heard are beautiful.

Tried the link Warpig but unfortunately the Soundcloud server seems to be having problems this evening. Sampled through on Spotify and sounds real nice. Not the thing I'm looking to purchase at the moment but come cold winter it may just fit the bill. Thanks.

Glad you liked it. It's my normal haunt, but you have to keep your music varied. When SoundCloud comes back try and listen to the album, it's very Jose Gonzalez and as background listening, I've probably listened to it 4 or 5 times now and I'm still not bored. Not bad for an unknown-[ish] band...

BACK TO BACK - Are these about Revelation ?

Hints of ascension here, as a "silver spaceship arrives"*.

(After the Goldrush - We've just had a goldrush, was it THE Goldrush?)

There are other ways to go:

*LYRICS:

After the Goldrush Live with Lyrics

Well I dreamed I saw the knights in armour coming

Saying something about a Queen

There were peasants singing & drummers drumming

The archer split the tree

There was a fanfare blowing to the sun

That floating on the breeze

Look at Mother Nature on the run

In the nineteen seventy,

We got Mother Nature on the run

in the nineteen seventy..

I was lying in a burned out basement

With the full moon in my eye

I was hoping for replacement

When the sun burst through the sky

There was a band playing in my head

And I felt like getting high,

Thinking about what a friend had said

I was hoping it was a lie,

Thinking about what a friend had said

I was hoping it was a lie.

***HARMONICA***

I dreamed I saw the mother spaceships flying

In the yellow haze of the sun

There was children crying and colors flying

All around the chosen ones...

All in a dream all in a dream the loading had begun

Flying Mother Nature's silver seed to a new

home in the sun,

We're Flying Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home..

Shivers down the spine @ 52 seconds... :D I was waiting for it to break with a dum-da-dum-da-dum-da tsh-tsh but it never came! Didn't SR post this a while ago, albeit without the vocals where it did break? It was a live set I think. I might have to trawl through this thread at some point.

Released on the new album Monday ........... can't wait for some remixes but this is truly beautiful ............
