Really like that Caribou track, will check them out....

I like QSO, which other Tru Thoughts artists do you recommend then?

Nostalgia 77 without a doubt. Natural Self, Diesler, Kinny but one of favourites is Beta Hector.

(Prefer the original of this, a more basic 'break and vocal' version)

Also love the 'Broken Keys' mix of rock and soul ............

If you're interested in their style of release I'd recommend their compilations as opposed to individual artists. 'Unfold presents Tru Thoughts Funk' sampler is one of my favourite compilations. Interestingly, Bonobo first released material through Tru-Thoughts before signing to Ninja Tune.

Not heard that before, didn't really follow the olympics but that is good.

This is the track the BBC used most often I think (just the first 20 seconds, and a few other samples).

The whole instrumental album is great, but the full version has cheesy vocals!

Edit to say thanks for the recommendations Underling, am looking into then now B)

No worries.... :) Yes it is very BG, I thought exactly the same. That Aim album is quality, I've posted a couple of tracks from it before on this thread.

Thanks, I enjoyed all of those Warpig. That Inga Liljestrom one reminded me a bit of Beth Gibbons....

And the Air track, I always get them mixed up in my head with Aim

I wonder if any of you trip-hop headz have come across Gavin Clark through his work with UNKLE?

He was with a band called Sunhouse who released an amazing album called Crazy on the Weekend in 1998. It's been described as the best album you've never heard! :D

It's true that nobody I've ever mentioned it to had heard of it. I advise everyone to try and get hold of it, well worth repeated plays.

He's also released some good tunes as Clayhill, and some solo stuff (his tracks are often used on Shane Meadows' films)

I may well try and pick the Sound Surroundings:Project Mooncircle album up on the strength of this track.
