  1. Dr Bubb,

You have an established site here, which means people do want to join and take part in your community.

You may be aware of the major spam problems my site has had, I have experimented with an advanced user registration process, to stop

bots and to deter further captcha smart bots I started experimenting with a paypal validation fee of 1 penny.

Since starting this, over the past week, I have had 7 new papal payments.

I think this is the future for online forums, considering the astroturfing and spam problems.

You must update your forum first though. And back up, back all this great information up.

  2. Do you use electronics, by any chance?

    Interesting question...

I do understand the importance of silver in our modern way of life.

We all use electronics, does anyone have a chart for the weight of silver per electronic product?

It would be useful to estimate the cost of living rise if Silver did go to the moon.

    Product           |     Weight
    ====================
    Laptop              |       ?
    Television          |      ?
    Phone                 |      ?
    Electric Cooker   |     ?
    Transport             |    ?
    Internet                  |   ?

An what about medical equipment and other devices that keeps our current standard of living and health?

I'm not disagreeing with the forecasts I have seen while watching Max Keiser and reading this forum, but

I would like to ask the question if wishing and acting for a higher price of silver only going to shoot ourselves in

    the foot?

I don't think all of us can afford to buy enough silver to last the rest of our lives if the cost of life increases?

I'm not a fan of JPM, or Crimex and am only playing devils advocate by asking the following questions....

Have JPM short shenanigans (if true) actually done humanity a favour by encouraging the cheap proliferation of modern technology?

And would you risk the world going back to the stone age, just to profit on you silver holdings? Is speculating on silver

as immoral as speculating on food?

  3. UNPINNED

    Goldfinger has unpinned this thread

    /source: http://www.greenenergyinvestors.com/index....showtopic=12377

If people want it move to another section, so it is easier to find, please suggest on the above thread, where you would like it moved.

    Or...

If you feel it MUST be pinned, please register that comment too

I was a bit panicked not to see this thread, it's one of the main reasons I visit GEI. Sure... sometimes there are periods of time

when its not posted on, but... it's all there. It's a great feature of GEI, the monthly pinned gold thread.

I'd like it left where it was, we all knew where it was and it was easier to find.

  4. Sterling price looked due a pullback. More volatile in pounds these days than in dollars. You should look at the crazy swings in Aussie and Kiwi. imo this reflects instability between currencies more than anything else.

    Thank you for this info.

  5. Well, this is exciting. Watching gold head up now past EUR 900 and heading up to GBP 800.

I'm glad I listened to this place and drip fed in. I'm a small guy, don't have much to my name but

have been able to buy an ounce every few months - gone without and had the appearance of a

    big time scrooge.

Best I can hope for is half an ounce every few months now, or switch my attention to silver.

My (income - cost of living - other commitments) dictates I'm priced out of ounce gold purchases now - unless I can find a bank to borrow from ;) .
