It's much like the charts quite a few others have done, but I've added my interpretation of the current small dip.

I think it could go a lot higher (25 to 30) and return to about here, but I don't see it dropping much at the moment.

 

 

To answer the question about whether to buy now.

One way is to buy some each week say. That way you're less likely to buy on a peak.

It's difficult isn't it. From my relatively small amount of experience, it's better to research and gain more conviction early, then to dither for too long, as you just end up wishing you'd bought more earlier.

If people like Jim Sinclair are right (and with the way things are it's almost impossible to think of any way they can't be), then it really doesn't matter what you pay now, because in a few months time you'll wonder why you spent so much time trying to get the best price when it's gone up so much.

IMO at least have say 10% gold as insurance ASAP.

I think it's interesting to compare the current bull market with the 1970s one.

Note the slopes.

I know some think Jim's prediction is now too low, but it does happen to fit nicely on the straight line up to 10,000.

This is and always has been my strategy, in fact I have been and am continiung to accumulate using a few 000k I have raised.

The correction seems to be gathering momentum, use it to average in IMO.

Another convert from HPC - never posted, just read the gold thread and learned a lot.

 

I am approx 15% in gold and looking to move to 25% gold and 10% silver. I have no physical, all in BV to minimise costs.

 

Currently monitoring the situation to find a good spot to buy.

IMO BV is good as physical, as is goldmoney.

Anyhting could happen here IMO, we could consolidate and push higher or correct significantyl.

IMO, this does not look like a correct significantly moment - I am hoping it consolidates and am looking to add larger at anywhere near $18.

It's just not frothy enough for a significant correction IMO.

Personally, I don't actually think she even holds any gold, no true gold holder would get the FVCK out of gold after a 2% correction which seems to have petered out already.

Thought you conducted yourself really well this evening over at the asylum. Although I found events over there today highly amusing, I must admit, I'm somewhat flabbergasted at their juvenilistic bravado as it clearly demonstrated the degree of pressure that they are now under following yesterday's ill-conceived upheaval.

 

Should the price of PMs continue to appreciate relentlessly, as I think it will, then the unfortunate actions of a very few will prove extremely difficult to justify and will only serve to further tarnish the reputation of what is already becoming a highly suspect web forum IMO.

Glad I found his thread, no need to post over there so much now - however the banter with ignoramuses was sometimes sadistically pleasurable, I might post a few anarchic ramblings now and again to stir 'em up, especially when gold decisively takes out $1000.

The funny thing is those lot on HPC that constantly deride gold would have made some good profits if they had bought some when they fist started their aurophobic behavior, maybe that it why they are so bitter?.

 

I don't understand why it gold is such an emotive subject for people. I do not see the same degree of vitriol directed at other assets such as agriculture,oil,equities etc

 

Maybe gold has some deeper meaning or memory embedded deep within peoples psyche.

Imagine posting again and again there was no point investing in an overpriced barbarous relic, only to see it increase in price by near 50% in a year, how would that make you feel? And most of those were moderators.
