Wardrop
I'd first like to say I'm not a big fan of the term "Intelligent Transport Systems", since it brings in lots of different technologies/systems, including, but by no means limited to: Intelligent Cruise Control Road User Charging Multi-modal Integrated Transport Navigation products Emergency Response Systems Better Logistics This week the ITS World Congress takes place in London. I believe entry to the exhibit is free, though you'll need to check. While technology improvements can provide significant benefits to the environment, possibly through use of exciting technologies like hydrogen, fuel cells, biofuels, etc, we might see more (and more immediate) environmental and economical benefits, by better use of the technology we already have. How does this impact on GEI? I've no idea, but wanted to start the ball rolling. Someone else might need to give it a shove though.
