  1. All this chaos in Mumbai, any thoughts on if it will spill over.. cause gold to move? Or is it just nothing new and life goes on.
  2. That's amazing. A drop down, then straight back up. Anyone catch it?
  3. I stumbled across this the other day. A copy of the original confiscation order. I thought it is quite historically interesting to look at. Thought you guys might like it if you haven't seen it before. http://www.goldline.com/images/content/pre.../conf-order.pdf Sorry, completely the wrong thread to post this
  4. Well, bars for sale here of course: http://www.goldline.co.uk/investmentBarsPage.page Probably better than those ETFs. I would like coins though, no idea where to find them.
  5. They are frustrating. My eyes are too young and delicate for that sort of thing. $6 silver! The popups are nice on the other hand
  6. I feel you are very right. i am too busy to follow and understand any news at the moment, and its all happening so so so quick. Something about brown buying bank shares today;I have no idea what it means. I cant keep up, as soon as i understand this there will be more tomorrow. ;But its so simple to have gold So today watching the tv news; has gordon brown saved the world with his policies? The news says yes, I think there's worse to come; it could all backfire horribly.
  7. HaHa. and silver at $10.50. It just got crushed I mean what price is that? It's more like a circus everyday.
  8. As James Turk nicely described it; if we had a dollar gold standard we would now be having massive deflation. We don't, so will have to be hyper inflation. QED And these savers flocking to ireland can't be much good for old sterling
  9. Well.. All these moves just look puny now since I saw the 100 dollar move last week.
  10. There's a sale on at coin invest direct tomorrow. you could grab one then.
  11. Now that's what I'm talking about. just back from the dentist.. was feeling rubbish, until now.
  12. So we WERE in a "low inflation low interest rate environment", so I have been told countless times. we are now moving into an even lower low inflation low interest rate environment, um I'm confused.
  13. Just bought more GM gold, so take cover for a late afternoon smackdown
  14. Maybe KITCO is just really delayed, but it looks to be flying up. Beethoven's 9th seems quite a fitting accompaniment
  15. Well, very simply viewing all this, it does seem very suspect that the dolla is about to smash up through its long down trend resistance, gold is about to break down completely/collapse, silver is hemorrhaging, just as the mother of all bailouts is about to happen. Why did the dollars fortune really change last month, was it really because of some guy in a Chinese swimming pool? I mean, gold shot up with the news of bears failure. I don't see what good news make people buy dolla. why dollar not swiss franc? Sorry might be too simple for you guys here Also, it was reported here: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...fer=commodities that the silver drop was its industrial component. do people here really think oil and other basics will fall more in price? there are too many dollars and not enough oil . 19 billion of them more tomorrow. All just seems such a setup? All I can say is, in the supermarket, meat and vegetable and milk prices are rocketing, absolutely rocketing. I would be very pleased to see these prices fall no matter how that happens..
  16. processing; metals and plastics. Working out cheaper ways to turn raw materials into usable products and how to enhance it by understanding how the material is affected by the processing. not very interesting really.
  17. Just a quick point I was meaning to mention, and to draw away from this inflation/deflation talk I was talking with some Mexican colleagues last month and they mentioned that there was a growing movement in mexico to bring silver back into their coinage. These guys are pretty heavy into their research work and I was pretty surprised when they mentioned it.. we were talking about the R&D in the mining industry so I would guess that this is something growing mainstream in the Mexican press. Anyone else heard of this?
  18. Ha. Like those. Well Gold is booming. Silver is just messing about.
  19. I find Selftrade is quite good http://www.selftrade.co.uk/
  20. Think James Turk said in some interview that he thinks there will be a fundamental change to the monetary system soon and the new system will in some way involve gold, so there wont be a need to sell it. Not taken by this seizure argument. I think it UK gold seizure will be clearly public i.e. not under the guise of money laundering companies before the Swiss join in. not sure how they would make gold illegal? Surely they can't confiscate gold jewellery and newly minted commemorative gold coins etc. Well we shall see.
  21. Well, the gold runs have started. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/1982850/Go...rnia-hills.html I'm off to California for my holls. Might have to give it a try
  22. I take it that it is not this : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/1952064/Ca...rice-fears.html And silver was starting to move
