  1. hi guys!! Anyone know why thebulliondesk.com is quoting 929 spot and bullionvault charts are showing 926?
  2. It really seems to be making steady progress. I want to make some profit so I would be grateful for any insight into any coming pull back. JS thinks we will nearly get to 1000 before falling back for another attempt.
  3. Are we going to see a correction in oil prices and if so will gold fall also? Or will investors take their profits from oil before the correction and then invest in gold pushing the gold price up?
  4. nice too see some positive action.
  5. What do you think is going on? A change in pattern to a new uptrend? lol I was just wondering where you were marceau!
  6. Makes me sick eh? $5.00 petrol. We pay £5.00 petrol. What does PPT or PTT mean? See it in context of the gold price manipulators.
  7. What does Jim mean about 15th June? >>>>Dear CIGAs, The following is an image of the new $5 dollar bill. It expires June 15th, 2008.<<<<
  8. Perhaps we will see some action when the americans trade.
  9. I read on bbc news that bank transfers would go through in one day starting sometime in May 08. Not a very reliable source. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7267406.stm I spoke to Bullion vault about this and they said they knew about it.
  10. Yes its quite frustrating. The fundamentals are so obvious. Inflation high, oil high, financial system shaky, gold is cheap. So why does it not go up? I hope we will see some serious action in the autumn and I will be quite happy to see $1200, if JS is right.
  11. making a bit of a come back now. Be nice to see $890 by close for weekend.
  12. If its any consolation, I sold my house and put the money into PM. Had I bought in august I would be £150K up now but I did it in January at around $900. I do not regret buying gold n silver but in hindsight, the timing could have been better. I could have earned more interest in the bank and bought cheaper at $850. Its obvious that gold will go up at some point. When it does I will be up more than the interest I would have in the bank. Plus there is the hope that my £300,000 will increase to £600,000 or more if I am prepared to wait, which I am. And the house prices are falling so everything is pretty much going to plan. So you not alone mate. What have you done Bullion Vault or physical?
  13. I appreciate your comments on gold. When we next have a decent up leg, I would be keen to hear your thoughts for profit taking prior to a correction. Jim thinks that we have seen the low for gold (first week of May). Am i right in thinking that you do not agree?
  14. Jim seems to think the bottom is in for gold for now. He says that gold will take out $1024 on the third try. Does this mean a correction once we get to $1024 again and if so, how much of a correction?
  15. gold putting in a good start to the week. It would be nice to see the end of this correction. (for me!)
  16. Excellent. "is there any silver lining in all this credit crisis? Yes of course, SILVER!!" LOL
  17. I think its reasonable to say that you have to judge what the risk is. If you knew the "authorities" were coming for your stash, I bet you would re-evaluate your hiding place and maybe improve it. Those who use BV or GM would do the same, ie sell their BV/GM gold and buy physical. And hopefully neither you or them would leave it too late before taking action. I completely agree with your view about holding physical but I would not have been so unkind and rude to a fellow member.
  18. I plan to sell my BV gold at some point and buy physical instead. I will wait for another opportunity like the one I just missed.
  19. What happens to your wealth if the pound becomes obsolete? Just as likely as gold prohibition. Will they be able to confiscate your gold if you don't tell them where you hid it? You are not allowed to buy and sell drugs but people still do. (I'm not condoning drug use) Its called the black market. There will always be some who will exchange their rapidly devaluing ££ for precious metals to preserve their wealth.
  20. thats what I'm worried about. Sovereigns and Britannia's cost a premium due to their cgt exemption.
  21. I would hope that if there was changes to CGT it would only apply to new purchases.
  22. theres allot of stuff about 2012 NN
  23. I have my worries as well. Bullion vault is great all the time the system stays reasonably stable. What if things go very badly wrong? Thats where gold is king but not if you don't actually have it. Saying that I'm heavily exposed to BV. Ideally I'd like to sell at a peak and then buy back physical in a dip. A good opportunity has just been missed, dooh. Could do with some Britannia's to see off CGT. You think theres any chance that they might change the cgt rules on gold when it booms big time?
