  1. Crap music .............. good lyrics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-QxeaIA4Bo&feature=player_embedded#at=379
  2. Had a lot of things going on recently and had to re-evaluate my personal time and the value of visiting this site. I'm no longer getting involved posting and wasn't expecting to post here again but, after a few sherberts and the impending armageddon *giggles* thought I'd post a couple of tunes that have recently been added by people on youtube that I wanted to post here a while back ........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCbWTSCHbvo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNANnn7EcZc Inner peace and love to you all ...................
  3. SR, Possibly my last post on this site ......................... , and knowing your situation (which is no-one else's business), can only offer my words. My friend, I urge you to recover your interest ......................... " Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." ............ my last post. Goodnight.
  4. I'm seeing shadow play his set 'Shadowsphere' at the Dome in Brighton. I guess it's what he'll be touring. I'll let you know how good it is and whether it's worth missing. With beardyman supporting though I think I may be bias. :-)
  5. Give it another go. The AVDJ who put this together is fantastically talented. I don't know Disney's version of 'Alice in Wonderland' but he's played alongside the visuals superbly at times. The moment he mixes up Coldplay's ** yacks a little though doesn't know why? ** "Fix You" with ........... well watch it and see ................. but it's the most enjoyable bit of free entertainment I've received for some time and thought it worth passing on.
  6. I've seen the Easy Dub Allstars twice. They play very nicely. Ok, so they're not Pink Floyd but imho, the stuff they do is preferable than just another tribute cover band.
  7. Rather like the Wizard of Oz vs Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon ..................... Alice in Wonderland vs DJ Shadow .................. Alice in Shadowland. http://www.vimeo.com/12954901
  8. http://www.kdbuzz.com/?mr-scruff-1992-hip-hop-mix Old skool breakz ................. hip hop as it should be.
  9. Lovely soundscape intro Warpig ............. great find. A couple of my favourites .......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZKkxAQYxyE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4HNriWg7_A
  10. Soundalike ................... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb3PmIvhE8A (Curtis Mayfield?) I've joined a street drum band recently and hoping to get them playing this kind of riddim (though we'll probably play about with the components) ................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpW8ddsleAM If anyone's in central London Monday 18th April and wants to have a party we're joining the protest demo's against the abolition of May Day bank holiday.
  11. Here comes the summer ............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D69t0Z2etRI

Used to have a copy but can't find now) None of the above really my thing generally, just the odd tune I liked. Preferred this kind of stuff ... From: (This is the rare full version with the Rico solo which i paid good money for) From: (It's all a load of bollox really ain't it?) From: Suggs's family are locals and I've shared a pint or two with him. This for me is a personal fav ......... reminds of me stuff. Another one too ............. From: For my Dad .........
  15. Thought I'd add this link here ............... 'Farm for the Future' documentary by the BBC. Saw this about a year or so ago when aired on terrestrial tv in the UK. Well worth a watch for some ideas ............... http://vimeo.com/18161854 Covers the effects of peak oil on food prices and sustainability issues. Feel free to post this video on other threads if you think it relevant ......... I struggled to find a thread suitable so put it here in advance of the new growing season which is now upon us here in the UK.
  16. * shudders * I don't know why but that woman gives me the heebeejeebies. hmmmm ......... pop? I've got to be honest and say I can I've always looked upon pop with a really pompous attitude. As you get older I suppose you can see the futility and senselessness in such an attitude. Anyway ........... pop From: From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ8ce4Jdp-Y Though for all that brilliance .............. From:

  19. Saw Hexstatic play a drum and bass/breaks/electronica AVJ set at Big Chill '03 (?) and very entertaining it was too. All the way through they would drop various uses of film and vocal with the phrase 'Hexstatic' including using a sample of an episode of C4's 'Countdown'. They dropped the Cliff Richard piece and everyone was looking confused at each other believing the set to be finished and the tune was being played as a 'clear-out' tune. Most started to wander off (the intro is perfectly timed long/short enough for maximum effect) and then of course the tune starts to loop and the rush (literally) to get back in was intense. A great gig and experience. It took me 7 years to find the piece online.
  20. From: From: From: Hey, there always that scroll down function you know!
  21. Had a bloody heavy month (promotion at work and a new team to get the best out of) and spending this weekend away from all in-depth thought recharging the best way I know how ........................... inspirational music. 22. Nice combo. Compliment each other well. These few were always gonna go well together but still, this is well done ............. From: * Note to self. Golf carts are not the best of escape vehicle when evading a psychotic child. *
  23. Hate remarking on my own posts but just listened/watched this again ................ Ooof !
  24. Lastly for today, a smokey, trippy space-themed AVJ set ..................... http://vimeo.com/11232304 And finally, one of the funniest things I'd seen for some time. Not seen this posted here (from memory) From:
