drbubb
Gran Colombia drills 205.88 m of 1.86 g/t Au at Marmato 2018-12-14 07:37 ET - News Release Mr. Serafino Iacono reports GRAN COLOMBIA GOLD DRILLING CONFIRMS AND EXTENDS THE HIGH-GRADE ZONE OF DEEPS STYLE OF MINERALIZATION TO MORE THAN 300 VERTICAL METRES BELOW THE DEEPEST LEVEL OF THE EXISTING MINING OPERATION AT THE MARMATO PROJECT; PROVIDES NOVEMBER 2018 PRODUCTION UPDATE Gran Colombia Gold Corp. has released additional high-grade intercepts today from a further nine holes drilled in the Deeps zone at its 100-per-cent-owned Marmato project in Caldas, Colombia. The 2018 infill drilling campaign is being undertaken to obtain additional information in conjunction with the technical studies and evaluations focused on the potential expansion of the underground mining operations at Marmato to incorporate the Deeps zone below the existing mining operation. Serafino Iacono, executive co-chairman of Gran Colombia, commented: "We continue to be very encouraged by the high-grade intercepts we are seeing in our 2018 drilling program. Our drilling campaign has increased our confidence in the geological model, outlining a higher-grade zone with excellent continuity over 450 metres along strike and strong vertical continuity for more than 300 metres below the deepest level of our existing mining operation. Coupled with the technical studies we have been carrying out this year, we have established a foundation for additional work to be undertaken next year as we proceed toward the preparation of a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for the underground expansion at Marmato. Included in next year's exploration budget is a further 15 holes representing 8,000 metres of drilling intended to extend the Deeps zone further along strike, to test the high-grade core of the Deeps zone up to 600 m asl (above sea level) and to upgrade a portion of the Marmato project's mineral resources from inferred to indicated ahead of preparing the life of mine plan for the PEA." The company has had two diamond drill rigs in operation underground at Marmato since June, 2018. Through the end of November, the company has completed 20 drill holes totalling approximately 7,200 metres, representing 85 per cent of the planned 8,500 metres to be drilled in 2018. The 2018 infill drilling program has been completed in the upper part of the Deeps zone, referred to as the Transitional zone, representing a 150 m high block below level 21, currently the deepest level of the operating Mineros Nacionales mine. Infill drilling within a 150-metre-high block below the Transitional zone is still in progress. High gold grades generated from the nine additional drill holes totalling 2,923 metres reported herein include: drill hole MT-IU-009 which intersected 74.78 m at 4.26 grams per tonne gold and 5.5 g/t silver from 323.60 m to 389.38 m; drill hole MT-IU-013 which intersected 24.75 m at 3.46 g/t Au and 5.5 g/t Ag from 192.85 m to 217.60 m; and drill hole MT-IU-015 which intersected 26.40 m at 3.10 g/t Au and 4.7 g/t Ag from 252.50 m to 278.90 m and 34.17 m at 3.46 g/t Au and 5.6 g/t Ag from 325.08 m to 359.25 m. The mineralization in all of these high-grade intercepts is related to narrow veinlets, with a higher veinlet density in the high-grade intervals. Key highlights and intercepts: The long low-grade intercepts of Deeps style of mineralization, with downhole intersections up to 205.88 metres long, have an average grade greater than 1.0 g/t Au, and fit well into the initial Leapfrog geological model at 1.0 g/t Au, which confirms the current model. The continuing drilling program, combined with previous drilling, has extended the geological model at 1.0 g/t Au to over 600 metres along strike, with an average width of 150 metres. A reinterpretation of the geological controls on high-grade gold mineralization within the wide low-grade intercepts of Deeps style of mineralization has led to the following achievements: The higher-grade zone, referred as the Main zone (MZ), outlined by previous drilling within the geological model at 1.0 g/t Au, shows an excellent continuity over 450 metres along strike, with an average downhole width of 32 metres. All the intercepts in the MZ have grades greater than 2.0 g/t Au over downhole widths of 10 to 310 metres. This zone branches to the west and is still open to the east > More: https://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item.aspx?bid=Z-C%3aGCM-2697675&symbol=GCM®ion=C These are quite good results, & am surprised the stock did not get a lift from them

drbubb
( Reminding us all of the country risk ) Colombian Government Uncovers ‘Plot to Kill President,’ Arrests 3 Venezuelans https://www.theepochtimes.com/assets/uploads/2018/12/30/ColombiaDuerte-700x420.jpg BOGOTA, Colombia—The Colombian government has discovered a plot to assassinate President Iván Duque and has arrested three Venezuelans in relation to the plans, according to Colombian Foreign Minister Carlos Holmes. The plot was uncovered by national intelligence services, said Minister Holmes in a video message published on Jan. 29. He added that intelligence services had been monitoring possible plans to kill the president “for months” and that they had now arrested three Venezuelans found possessing “weapons of war.” The development “increases concerns yet further,” he said. The Ministry for Defense has since informed local media that two of the suspects were found in the coastal city of Valledupar carrying long-range assault rifles, while the third was picked up in Barranquilla carrying a submachine gun and a grenade. A local radio station has reported the plot would have coincided with the second inauguration of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Jan. 10 and was likely backed by armed groups in Colombia but it is not clear upon which sources the claims were based. . . . The deterioration in diplomacy has followed the collapse of Venezuela as it faces widespread food and medicine shortages alongside hyperinflation and widely reported human rights violations. Maduro has attributed the deteriorating conditions to planned intervention from other countries and has alleged that Colombia—alongside the United States—is plotting to oust him and his government. President Duque has continually rejected the legitimacy of the second election of Maduro, who he calls a “dictator.”

The price of gold has gone up $80 in the past month or so. 200,000 x 80 = $16mm more in revenue. Take that to the bank. Volume remains low, but there is accumulation at this level. Free cash flow of $50mm U.S. is in the realm of possibility. So we are selling at two time cash flow. Think of management looking at these number and asking themselves the question, should we make a takeout offer. When will it happen? 2. With 50 mln USD free cashflow the cash position by mid 2021 would have grown by 125 mln USD. The whole cash position, with no more debt outstanding would be higher than the market cap of today... I think with gold prices approaching the 1.300 level, a buy back of shares or dividend would be a good management decision. No reason to hold that much cash (risking unnecessary or bad acquisitions when feeling rich). What would everyone on this board expect to stock price to be at the end of 2019? I expect it to end between 4 and 5 CAD if gold prices stay at the levels (1,250 - 1,300) 3. management will contine pay down the debt like planned , modernisation of Segovia will contine ... in 3-4 years the final feasibility study for Marmato will be done..GCM will need the cash for the larger Marmato-Capex ... so debt will grow again ... after Mamato is build we have an atrractive 300000-400000 oz p.a. producer ... marketcap should grow to 500 million USD (without dilituion) ... Sanspring will offer additional upside ... 4. I would hate to see a buy out before we are at a much higher price . Any buy out below $10 and we are getting stiffed... the present market cap is ridiculous considering the reserve upside . Also I don`t think the open pit at Marmato is completely off the table when that village has seen the benefits GCM has brought to them . The open pit had reserves of 14 million ounces . drbubb
GRAN COLOMBIA GOLD ADOPTS SHAREHOLDER RIGHTS PLAN Gran Colombia Gold Corp.'s board of directors has adopted a shareholder rights plan agreement. The plan is effective immediately and the Toronto Stock Exchange has conditionally accepted notice for filing of the plan, subject to ratification by shareholders at Gran Colombia's 2019 annual shareholder meeting, which is currently expected to be held in June. The plan was not adopted in response to any specific proposal or intention to acquire control of Gran Colombia. The board considered a number of factors and believes that adopting the plan will protect Gran Colombia's shareholders from unfair, abusive or coercive takeover strategies and to ensure that all shareholders have an equal opportunity to participate in any future takeover bid, and to receive full and fair value for their common shares. The plan is similar to rights plans adopted in 2018 by other Canadian companies that have been ratified by their shareholders. Under the terms of the plan, the rights issued will attach to and trade with the common shares of Gran Colombia and no separate certificates will be issued unless an event triggering these rights occurs. The rights will not be triggered by the purchase of shares made pursuant to a permitted bid, as defined in the plan. The rights will become exercisable only when a person, including any party related to it, acquires or attempts to acquire 20 per cent or more of the company's outstanding common shares without complying with the permitted bid provisions of the plan or without approval of Gran Colombia's board of directors. Should such an acquisition occur or be announced, each right would, upon exercise, entitle a rights holder, other than the acquiring person and related persons, to purchase common shares at a significant discount to the then-current market price. Under the plan, a permitted bid is a bid made to all shareholders which must be open for a minimum of 105 days (or such shorter period as is permitted under applicable Canadian securities laws) and must contain certain conditions, including that no shares will be taken up and paid for unless 50 per cent of the common shares that are held by independent shareholders are tendered to the bid. Upon ratification by shareholders and completion of certain other requirements, the rights referred to in the plan will be listed on the TSX. The rights will not appear on the TSX's trading list as an entry separate from Gran Colombia's common shares. If and when the rights become separable from the common shares, an application to list the securities issuable upon exercise of such rights will have to be made to the TSX. drbubb
Gr8! I am glad to hear it. The new year has helped to concentrate the minds of buyers I will let a few shares go at the old high, and the top of the channel, but plan to stick with my core position I honestly think this share should be a genuine takeover possibility, the poison pill will help to ensure it is not too cheap. They really should start paying a dividend as the debt continues to fall

drbubb
top gold stk 2019 posted January 08, 2019 02:31 pm by rotax1 https://seekingalpha.com/article/4232056-top-gold-stocks-2019 Honorable Mention Picks for 2019 Here are a few: Gran Colombia Gold (OTCPK:TPRFF😞 I view Columbia as one of the more risky places to mine, which is one of the reasons I've left it off the top 10 list. But I have to admit that Gran Colombia Gold's stock is very undervalued entering 2019, especially after the company's debt restructuring. It is a much safer stock now than a few years ago. For the 9 months ended 2018, Gran Colombia has produced 162,741 ounces of gold at $899/AISC, producing $78 million EBITDA year-to-date, putting it on pace to meet or exceed its full-year guidance of 214,000 - 220,000 ounces at $950/AISC. With $100+ million in annual EBITDA and an enterprise value of just $186 million, Gran Colombia is trading at an EV/EBITDA of under 2X which is quite low. Gran Colombia is a medium-to-high-risk, high-reward pick for 2019, and it's a company I'll be keeping a close eye on early in the year. ...read more

drbubb
GCM - update: 1/16/19: if it breaks the old high, next stop is $4-ish (?) Presentation to be made this weekend. GCM just announced: 2019 Guidance of : "210-225k : Mid-217.5K " ounces of Gold production And: " At this level of production, we are also comfortably meeting our obligations with respect to servicing the gold notes, with the aggregate principal amount outstanding decreasing to $83.4-million (U.S.) following the quarterly payment coming up at the end of January." " We have established a solid foundation of internally generated operating cash flow to fund our ongoing programs, including another 20,000 metres of exploration currently planned for 2019 at Segovia. The 2019 campaign will focus more on stepout drilling at El Silencio, Providencia and Sandra K along with brownfield drilling on the Cogote vein system as we increasingly shift our attention toward the blue-sky potential within our Segovia mining title " Onwards & Upwards, eh? drbubb
Bullboard - On GCM's Production Guidance - 2018 "Beat" was about +16% 1. (wayned) I really wish they wouldn`t give these guidance numbers . They should appear only in the quarterly financials . Giving a monthly update on production is just begging for a kick in the a$$ . If you don`t increase every time or heaven forbid , miss by any amount , it`s a quick trip down . 2. (invest234)they have been conservative with their guidance and have beat guidance by a significant amount for the last few years. 2018 guidance was 182k to193k and they soundly beat it with 218k. 2019 guidance is by far their highest guidance which i find reassuring for the coming year. i am looking forward to marmato pea. at $1300 long term gold price, that should be very valuable. 3. (kkkrrr) its taking off.. what market misses is the strategical thing with Sandspring... Sandspring owns the nearby claims to segovia and want process their ore throught the Maria Dama plant (presentation Sandspring from Jan19)... and Sandspring owns this 10 million oz deposit in Guyana (Toroparu) ... a merger between GCM and Sandspring would make sense down the road... GCM would raise the resources at segovia and the combined company would have access to capital to develop Toroparu (Sandspring already has a deal with Wheaton metals for 150 million of the capex, project is under re-scoping developent for lower capex) .... GCM alredy own about 20% of Sandspring (stock+warrants) ... so a combined company would have lower country risk and 2 low-cost mines... enormous upside! GCM wanted develope marmato as a open-pit-mine ..maybe they will do this with Toroparu..AISC appr. 700$/oz 4. (Memr189)New 52.week high! Nice to see a new 52 week high today...I have been an investor in GCM since July 2016 and have witnessed this amazing turnaround with with nominal (at best) movement in the share price. Obviously this company remains significantly undervalued however regardless of where we are today, gold is going to go up significantly higher in 2020 and GCM will be much, much higher than where we are today. Patience for me is difficult but i believe in this company and I believe that gold/silver is heading for a HUGE bull market so patience is a must.
