DrBubb's Diary - April 2018 Trading - v.111

The Fed's Racetrack: Gold (GLD) vs Stocks (SPY) : update :vs.CRB : GLD-hr : SPY-hr : GLD/SPYratio

ZuSygwV.gif

The Fed's money-printing has maintained confidence in markets - but the money has gone not only into stocks, but also into other areas. For many months, money flowed into commodities like Gold, pushing prices higher even faster than stocks, as the chart above shows. But since Gold's peak in Aug.2011, stocks have outperformed gold. Since then, these two assets have tended to trade counter-cyclically to each other.

Gold in EURO - very worthwhile to track

Short Term: tny_au_en_euoz_2.gif

Medium Term - 3 Years: Gold-inEUR

US Stocks: "SPX-in-Euros" .. SPX-to-EUR or SPY-to-FXE  .. update

Ratio - SPX/Euro has often moved in a nice clear channels

DrBubb's "Early Warning System"

Leading Ratio ... LQD:TLT-Weekly-3yrs : TLT-vsLQD : Copper : HG price : CU price : SPY-10/11 : SMH-6mos

I reckon that the LQD-to-TLT ratio should move in harmony with stocks, or maybe LEAD stock moves. If they are moving in different directions, then one should be cautious. (However, the value of this indicator has become suspect in recent years, after giving some false warnings.)

"But the 2-3 months cycle may be bottoming around year-end.

Clif High thinks the price will be at $13,000 in Feb. & will reach $64k - 100k during 2018, in next wave."

20,000 Brainwashed SJW ideologues will determine what is Hate Speech at Fakebook

5513617079042490259no.jpg

(Btw the 1st Amendment supports Free Speech, & does not ban anything called Hate speech, but these ill-educated Useful Idiots may not care)

“Hate speech is one of the hardest, because determining if something is hate speech is very linguistically nuanced. You need to understand what is a slur and whether something is hateful, not just in English, but a majority of people on Facebook use it in languages that are different across the world.”

Facebook has developed and deployed AI tools to find terrorist propaganda, Zuckerberg said, and nearly all ISIS and al Qaeda content that is removed from Facebook is flagged before “any human sees it.”

“That’s a success in terms of rolling out AI tools that can proactively police and enforce safety across the community,” Zuckerberg said. “Hate speech, I am optimistic that over a five to 10 year period we'll have AI tools that can get into some of the nuances, the linguistic nuances of different types of content to be more accurate in flagging things for our systems, but today is just not there on that.”

The Facebook CEO said that by the end of 2018, the company will have 20,000 employees devoted to security and content review.

The truth seems to be that hate speech is anything that will make these idiots uncomfortable.

If you are with me, you may think that it is IMPORTANT to make young progressives uncomfortable, when they are blocking non-PC Truths

The Zuck-in' Highlights

Zuckerberg's Senate hearing highlights in 10 minutes

If Zuck was honest, we would talk about his CIA connections.
He's on the wrong page when he talks about Fake News & Hate Speech.
His idea of real news is CIA Lies.
His idea of Hate Speech is probably ALLOWED by the 1st Amendment.
Almost No one cares about hurting the feelings of 20-something SJW's.
Merely telling THE TRUTH hurts the feelings many brainwashed young idiots

Bitcoin, the Biggest Bubble in History, Is Popping

The greatest bubble in history is popping, according to Bank of America Corp.

The cryptocurrency is tracking the downfalls of the other massive asset-price bubbles in history less than one year out from its record, analysts lead by Chief Investment Strategist Michael Hartnett wrote in a note Sunday.

The cryptocurrency has fallen more than 65 percent since peaking in December at $19,511. Bitcoin rose 2.2 percent to $6,750 on Monday.

Gold Surges to 7-Wk High On Safe-Haven Buying News

Trump Missile Threat Pushes Gold Prices To Two-Week High  News

Weak Inflation Data Push Gold Prices To Session Highs Kitco News

Gold and silver prices were ending the U.S. day session with solid gains Wednesday, on safe-haven demand. Gold hit a seven-week high today and silver notched a two-month high. There is elevated anxiety in the marketplace at mid-week regarding U.S. military intentions after Syria used poisonous gas on its civilians. President Trump tweeted today, warning Russia that U.S. missiles are coming and that Russia won’t be able to shoot them down. He also said Russia should not be aligning with an “animal” (Syria’s Assad) that gasses his own people. June Comex gold futures were last up $15.30 an ounce at $1,361.00. May Comex silver was last up $0.209 at $16.805 an ounce.
. . .

Gold prices pushed to session highs after U.S. inflation data came in weaker than expected.

Wednesday, the U.S. Labor Department said its U.S. Consumer Price Index fell 0.1% in March, after increasing 0.2% in February. The drop was weaker than expected as consensus forecasts were calling for an unchanged reading.

The decrease in inflation pressures did not have a major impact on the annual data. For the year CPI rise 2.4%, its highest read in a year.

Monthly core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy costs, rose 0.2%, following a 0.2% increase in February. The data was in line with economist expectations.

Annual core inflation jumped to 2.1% last month, its highest level in more than a year.

The weak inflation data was positive for the gold market, which is also benefiting from rising geopolitical tension. Ahead of the report gold was trading at a two-week high after President Donald Trump issued a warning on Twitter, of imminent military action in Syria. June Comex gold futures last traded at $1,258.20 an ounce, up almost 1% on the day.
