frizzers Posted May 29, 2006 Report Share Posted May 29, 2006 I heard about this on Radio Goldseek (http://www.radio.goldseek.com/) and it seems an ideal way for the novice who wants to play the gold bull (if we still have one). It's an ETF that launched last week which tracks the US Gold Miners' Index. It follows 44 gold miners, most of whom people with some interest in gold will know, but some of whom you won't, and is managed by Van Eck global. It trades like a share, is easy to buy and sell (well, with TD Waterhouse it is), but gives you full exposure to the sector, rather than a single stock. So if you think gold mining is a place to be, but don't have the time or the expertise to trade it fully, this might be for you. GTG Posted May 4, 2008 Report Share Posted May 4, 2008 Is there an ETF for the juniors and a separate one for the silver juniors or is there some other way to get exposure for someone that does n't have the skills, experience or the broker for the individual stocks?
