drbubb Posted March 21, 2006 Report Share Posted March 21, 2006 If you want to transfer your avatar from HPC, or from your own computer, here's how to do it 1/ Go to: http://www.imageshack.us 2/ Hit the BROWSE button and find the image in your computer, or alternatively, change the button to "file", and cut and paste the URL from the HPC avatar image into the space provided. (You may need to right click on your HPC avatar to get the http address for your avatar) 3/ Click on the "Host it" button 4/ After a short while, the Imageshack website will assign you a URL address for your image. 5/ Cut and paste the new URL for you image into the appropriate section on this website: (to find the correct page, go to My Controls, and look for the Change Avatar page) . . . The avatars I've tried are all the right size, etc, but I just get the error loading message. Not that important that I have an avatar, but I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Are others having problems or are there any known problems? They differ from HPC in one key aspect - you need to host it *externally* to get it work. Yes, indeed. That is exactly why I have retained the avatar so long (more than 3 years). I reckoned that if I was wrong about the 2005 peak. there would be one last "5th wave" rally up in property, and then the fall would be much steeper, and the pattern would look like that.
