Please discuss, post news, views etc on Ascot Mining ...

Ascot are a tiny gold producer based in Costa Rica.

They have various mines at various stages of development . The plan is to become a 100,000 ounce producer .

They made their first gold pour at Chassoul just a few weeks ago .

Many of you noticed the Financial Times article a few weeks ago that mentioned they are forward selling gold for delivery next year at a 20% discount to spot. This is to raise capital to get buy equipment etc to bring them into production. Link to article. Estimated cost per ounce around $400.

Canadian entrepreneur David Jackson at the helm.

Website could be improved ; and a listing on an exchange that brings more liquidity to the stock would also benefit company .

Anyone else own stock?

Possible bottom forming - LINK TO CHART UPDATE

CC - i read your update in Moneymorning with interest. I went to the Master Investor show on saturday and spoke to Ascot who had a stand there (which was pretty busy). They came across well and explained the current position with La Toyota. I asked about the possible listing on the TSX and said i thought this was very important to boost liquidity and led to a higher rating as Toronto investors know how to value companies better than AIM or Plus! I'm definitely considering investing in Ascot as they look very cheap, but my biggest concern is liquidity. I will continue to research. Any further thoughs from others welcome......

Canadian listing would really help them, yes.

There's been another Toyota ruling in their favour , so that look good.

Main object is to get 3 good months of production at Chassoul mine, then they have some money ...

Yes the company said that there had been an initial ruling in Ascot's favour and their partner now had to respond within a certain time frame. He either had to buy them out or return the machinery.

Agree some production figures are key now. Are Xetra stocks allowed to go in ISA's or do we have to wait for TSX listing?

Re TSX i spoke to Dave Paxton, the CEO of Vatukoula who confirmed they will be listing there as he was well aware it should led to a re-rating

Good stuff. Canadian listing coming. Production being ramped up. New Costa Rican mining laws actually benefit Ascot.

Am I right in thinking the market has misunderstood these laws and punished them regardless?

Getting tempted now,
