  2. Yeah, price of silver looks somewhat like a turd falling of a cliff. HOWEVER, keep in mind, this is not RBS, UK house prices, or the US-Dollar -- this is a MASSIVE SILVER turd. Somewhere down there it will hit some shorters right on the head and squeeze the life out of them.
  3. Some truth in that. The more your views get challenged, the better you will be able to understand them and argue for them in the end. I am sort of missing cells and RB. But then, their arguments where sometimes brain-shrinkingly ridiculous and quite repetitive too.
  4. I am cruel with my bullion coins. I touch them, rubb them, and even let them clonk against each other. I am sort of having fun with them.
  5. I think the question here is: how good is your understanding of the fundamentals? And how firm is your belief in your personal investment decisions? On a day like this you can divide the good ones from the bad ones.* Today I could have saved $2/oz on my most recent silver purchase. Well, that's how this market works. If I knew better I'd be sipping champagne on the Virgin Islands right now. But my understanding/belief in the fundamentals tells me that this particular day today is mostly irrelevant. That some people are more emotional about investment coins - I can understand that. In fact it can be good, because you consider longer before you dump them on a day like this. Personally, I am less emotional about GM and BV holdings. However, in the end, I know that all gold & silver I hold apart from my wedding band and my wife's jewellery is money and will be treated as such. EDIT: *With 'one' I mean (long term) 'investor' here.
  6. Dollar's back in town. Printing trillions does not matter. Deficits don't matter either. Dollar better than gold. War against Russia? No problem. Oil is plentiful around. Let's watch the Olympics.
  7. Weeeeeeeeeehehehehe!! If it goes on like this I will have to max out my credit card to buy more. Last time I bought was $17.30. It's not even on the chart anymore!
  8. http://goldismoney.info/forums/showpost.ph...postcount=15863 The Indians really know when to buy!
  9. Is this a typo? I mean $52 million, that's what Northern Rock burns per hour. Should it be billion? Edit: typo.
  10. The Caucasus is blowing up. Could this develop into a Black Swan? I always thought it would be Pakistan or Iran. But then you always have unknown unknowns.
  11. All I can say is, everyone who is in gold and silver should have some coins at hand. My advice also is, don't only get the old stuff, get some shiny brand new ones. It's good to hold the stuff in your hand so that you actually appreciate a little more what have stored somewhere in Switzerland with BullionVault or GoldMoney. And for the ETF people, it's good if you have some of the real stuff. On a side note: 1oz Maple is 5 Dollars notional, 1oz Eagles is 1 Dollar. Can I see some American hubris here?
  12. Oh, dude. You should see them. THIS IS REAL MONEY!
  13. OK, so my package with coins that I ordered from CoinInvestDirect Monday afternoon has arrived. I ordered gold and silver coins. The silver coins (1oz Maples/Eagles/Philharmonikers, all from 2008) have all arrived, no problem. They are very beautiful - I had no idea. Silver is good stuff, not only gold, I have to say. Man, I feel rich now. Forget $15 or $20 for silver. This stuff is worth much more. You can tell from just looking at it.
  14. BTW, Axstone from GIM has sold ALL his juniors. I wonder why. I really intend to buy some over the next few months. Rock bottom prices, etc.
  15. DMac on GIM writes: http://goldismoney.info/forums/showpost.ph...postcount=15824 OK, some package has arrived for me. I think it's a load of silver coins. I am excited like a little boy. My first larger shipment of silver coins ever. Tell you more in 5 min.
  16. $15.81 as we're writing. I hope you sent that paperwork off in time!
  17. The Chinese are so busy with Olympia, they forgot to put in their buy-orders today. We will be back to normal in a few weeks.
  18. I officially announce the GREAT SILVER SUMMER SALE! Load up now (if you haven't already at $18.40 and $17.30, like me ...).
  19. Dollar is where everyone wants to be in.
  20. I think this interpretation from the SSIM thread on GIM is a good one: In other terms: start accumulating now, so that you're all set later this year.
  21. Just posted an interpretation of the last SSS on the gold thread.
  22. Hear, hear. Someone dares to interpret the oracle. Very interesting: http://goldismoney.info/forums/showpost.ph...mp;postcount=71
  23. For some reason the USD got stronger today. Looks to me almost as if some forced liquidation is going on somewhere. Or what is so $-positive at the moment? (Is Fort Knox finally reported to be empty? )
