  1. Yes, thanks for the message, and I'd definitely have a look around on such a site. Another poster has pointed out that the profits in such businesses like HPC are possibly rather small. I don't know anything about it. But I must admit I also have never clicked on any of the ad banners.
  2. BV and GoldMoney let you own the gold directly/allocated. I.e. there is no credit risk for you. If they go bankrupt, the gold is still yours. However, if you sell the stuff, it must funnel through the bankings system on the way to you. You only want to do that in a stable environment. Otherwise you leave your gold better where it is at the time.
  3. I think I could produce one from 1952 on, but not earlier. On the other hand, I haven't seriously looked for data. Might be somewhat tedious to do.
  4. This is seriously ridiculous. I've done no more than basically saying I wouldn't like where the thread got moved to, the thread would be generally unwanted by the mods, and I would think it was time to move on. I really hope they wisen up over there at some stage.
  5. http://goldismoney.info/forums/showpost.ph...;postcount=8336 I wonder what he includes in online gold banks. GoldMoney and BullionVault are no 'banks'. There is no credit risk or derivatives riskas far as I can see.
  6. Such a potty mouth, STC. Look what she writes behind my back. Totally moronic. People just can't appreciate if you think that some other things will do well as well, but you're most bullish on ONE thing. http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/ind...st&p=998919
  7. Who knows? I still think we could see $1,000 in March. If Bernanke gets more bearish and they cut a lot, it could easily happen if the Cartel doesn't throw the last bars they have against it. I am patient. I might be buying, but want to see how it's doing overnight and tomorrow morning.
  8. Maybe you are right and this is really more about these kind of things. Lots of emotions around gold, quite funny that.
  9. This IS scary. Bernanke seems almost asleep at the wheel. One Senator recently gave him a pretty hard time. The played it on FSN.
  10. Oh well, they will hurt much more in the coming years (IHMO). They talk about Buffetts pension piece on http://www.jsmineset.com/ today. Now, I've read this yesterday already, and the thing most astonishing to me is that Buffett talks about the Dow having to go over 2,000,000 in 2100 and stuff like that, and the kind of returns needed for that (and how unrealistic blablabla), but HE NEVER EVER ONCE MENTIONS INFLATION in this context. These number he quotes are totally irrelevant if one does not know what inflation is going to be. We could have Dow at 2,000,000 next year if they print a little more.
  11. The good thing is I PMed almost every active gold poster BEFORE I posted publicly what I would do. But I guess they started sniffing around my PMs and then blocked it all. As I said, Gestapo or Stasi methods. Anyway, cg just posted this one here. Sometimes I really wonder why he puts up with all this. http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/ind...&start=1860
  12. cg and Impartial seem to give them contra.
  13. Just go the the main HPC forum right now. The top post at the moment is a gold thread! I am laughing my @rse off.
  14. It's appreciated. But anyone who wants to write me can do it on here.
  15. Well, it was the one thing that kept the site really interesting for me, but only with it in the main forum. Otherwise I can as well post here on a gold thread, and have a more peaceful life since I don't have to respond to all those 'useless relic' etc. kind of posts. It got really scary when they instantly removed all my posts, locked all threads and even deleted all my PMs!!! I did not offend anyone! I used no 4-letter words. Nothing. Still, full force Gestapo methods were applied. EDIT: People can not even send me PMs over there anymore. This is just so ridiculous. Why are they so afraid of me?
  16. This is sooo funny. look at this one: http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/ind...st&p=998562
  17. Looks like Cartel's Last Stand to me.
  18. The Dow indeed looks pretty poor indeed.
  19. Isn't it funny how cheap $957 gold suddenly looks? I am really tempted to buy.
  20. How else can we be in a position where we have no reserves despite 10 good years? Right!
  21. Cheers! I will check this out later. Goes all on my iPod for the car. BTW, today's plunge usually would have sparked a serious number of posts by goldbugs on HPC. Looks rather dead now in terms of gold over there. I guess they will miss the boom.
  22. This could happen. I mean, Citi doing a Northern Rock on public TV, with the commentary that this was once the world's biggest bank - wouldn't go over well with the average person on the street.
  23. BTW, gold:silver now at below 48.7. We're closing in on Norcini's 46 support. I think we will break it.
