alternative-energy
Like she says 'We are all part of a family 5 billion strong' That was 18 years ago; what has changed? I find her wonderful speech very depressing. I wonder what she's doing now?
drbubb
Severn Cullis-Suzuki (born 30 November 1979 in Vancouver, Canada) is an environmental activist, speaker, television host and author. She has spoken around the world about environmental issues, urging listeners to define their values, act with the future in mind, and take individual responsibility. [edit]Biography Cullis-Suzuki was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada.[1] Her mother is writer Tara Elizabeth Cullis. Her father, geneticist and environmental activist David Suzuki, is a second-generation Japanese Canadian.[2] While attending Lord Tennyson Elementary School in French Immersion, at the age of nine, she founded the Environmental Children's Organization (ECO), a group of children dedicated to learning and teaching other youngsters about environmental issues.[3] In 1992, at the age of 12, Cullis-Suzuki raised money with members of ECO, to attend the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severn_Cullis-Suzuki
alternative-energy
Yes interesting. She has probably racked up hundreds of thousands of air miles to spread the blindingly obvious. My point though is that anyone with half a brain knows what needs to be done. The question is Why the hell aren't they doing it? - because its hard work, involves real sacrifice is and possibly a little boring. I'm tired of hearing people inflating their egos reusing their carrier bags and then flying to another continent for their holidays. Cognitive dissonance or what?
