jerpy
Been hearing lately B.A pilots are retraining to fly different engines, many have gone to the states, though some are on 4 week stints in the U.K. Out of curiosity i was looking to see what new technology is coming through and stumbled across this fairly recent snippet citing Rolls Royce claims of propsed cuts to a "an airline's fuel bills and greenhouse gas emissions by 30%". So what are the chances of wide scale commercialisation? http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008...port-rollsroyce The good news whatever B.A are adopting, it looks like the lesson of last years oil prices has hit home.
