underling
From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiAnQsY-S6M You've brought some old memories back of 'yoot' with that post. Used to play the original endlessly though preferred 'Numbers' ................ From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWyG5p87--E Another Kraftwerk original .............. from an intriguing album From: (the poster has cut this short .......... grrrrrrr) The above originals were all when I was still knee high to a grasshopper. Electronic music had moved on by the time my interest was aroused by acts like these.............. From: (from one of my most treasured vinyl albums) From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFtk6xQ4hZQ (prior to 19 I believe) From: Collecting records like these and following the 'scene' was what made me very different as a teenager. There wasn't much to do at a weekend ...................... we had a choice of the muzzies (I knew all the reel sequences on 'line-up' and 'options' and generally knew when they were due to pay out), pick a fight with some other kids or go spend the part-time pay in the local rekkid shop. As soon as hip-hop hit the UK, and I like to think I got hooked earlier than most, it changed the whole game for me. Spare time was spent dancing infront of a mirror or with mates trying to perfect a trick so we could battle the 'Out of Town' lads. My poor old mum had tried (on reflection) so hard to save up to buy me a pair of Garrard decks and mixer and all my spare time was spent learning to 'scratch' or beat mix . I got hooked up with a couple of people who loved to paint too and every other night we went out and wrote our names as boldly as possible. From: I'm 40 years old now and I STILL get the urge to go out and paint when something or someone p1sses me off. I tend to paint best at those times. From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAQWUWMJxg8 But I'm surprised there was no Bambaataa in your post, so I hope you don't mind me adding one........... but I'll not be opting for "plant rock" that would be just to predictable Live From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCArTJ-pyCg Video From: BTW, I've got an old bit of lino out the back, what's the chances you've got a can of Mr Sheen ?
