  1. Thats a good way of looking at it in my also untechnical eyes; another way is considering it as shopping around for insurance, kind of gives you a warm feel when you think you have a good deal switching providers every now and then. Just wonder if the premiums are going to rise this year? Moving up again.
  2. Really enjoyed it though and echo the sentiment glad you stuck around. Madness probably through Suggsy, seem one of those bands that are timeless and attract all generations, or so it seemed watching them live.
  3. Get yourself to a gig then man. Tickets for the Dec tour came out last Friday
  4. Ah thanks, forgot about them, monitored their ebay guides before.
  5. Never gave it much thought before, hence the question; but it would be lazy of me not to try when I get chance now you've explained it.
  6. No worries, appreciate the comment, i'm an hard nosed sort and $hit happens. When it does though it's not much fun moping it up, but when a person you know well gets on with it as if nothing has happened, you get perspective.
  7. Yes much appreciated. The 5th and 6th were close to what I was looking for and along with your gold/silver ratio chart.
  8. IF i did hold some, I would guess anything with the queens head would be useful as once suggested by a certain G/F for someone U.K based. Though those A.S.E's look nice and 1kg bars seem good stocking fillers to me. WARNING: Truck reversing - just trying to time my arrival for the next larger collection maybe I shouldn't.
  9. Yes I know......don't worry it was months back, must have got lost in the post or when you did a spring clean pre hibernation.
  10. Of course not and thanks for the help when I P.M'd you
  11. Goldfinger would you be able to point me in the direction of a silver versus gold in £'s chart please.
  12. Might struggle in Weston Park this weekend Guess it's more apt than the album's title track, then again if seeing no shame in watching big bro fancy a "TWEAK on MY NIPPLE" cap sir.
  13. Thanks. As for guilty pleasure well, couple more classy ladies From: This one's as nice in person as on the box, just done up a place in the south mids From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbkysd9mQho
  14. Time for some female talent From: From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJE_Sc1Wags From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvU4XfcSAD8
  15. You may recall metioning ESO elsewhere, I bailed out of them when they announced a private placement, which has recently been completed. Do you still follow these, might they be worth another look at around 5c? Would ask you on your ADVFN thread, but seems someone has hijacked it!
  16. Know what you're saying but 86% forward sales and people knew it was coming. Add the little pick up in prices, bit more fluff, banks being told to lend more and everyone goes to la,la land happy....for a day or two maybe. The interesting comment I picked up was U.K concentration going forward, but of course no intention of pulling out of the U.S!
  17. Bought Monday morning myself as expected half bullish update and sold first thing this morning. Didn't time it perfect but i'm not greedy so sat on fence. Mind think the bullishness was no doubt in part down to George Osboune's banks must lend more comments which swayed me for a punt. Just my opinion.
  18. Possibly. There are those wishing and those being realistic. Makes for trading stock opportunities round the negavity though. As for house prices well...
  19. Demand from builders across the U.K has been good the last few months since the bad weather, they have been busy putting down pads by comparison to last year. But forward visibility is still "built" somewhat on hope rather than demand. Many I spoke to in the sector at all levels kept making comments along the lines of HOPEFULLY we are now coming out of the recession, WHEN things get better next year, COSTS have been trimmed down, we are are much LEANER and able to benefit from the uplift WHEN it comes blah, blah. Did you see TW. figures yesterday? Bears out all this with the exception of their "relatively robust" comment, probably attributed to 2009 sales "secured". But it was a good churn, last week first time i've had a long position for some time in the sector; expect others will make similar noises. Taking profits fairly quickly though.
  20. Notice the repeat for effect. Question on my mind is will that be before or after any price collapse!
  21. One from the school disco days, though constantly remixed in the clubs From:
  22. Queen wins for me, though ELO did have a rather revolutionary spaceship. Check out some youtube performances of Jeff and the boys from the early days, weird hair and sideboards or what
  23. Joy division, Dirty Vegas and Big Country. 3 in a row that i loved, beginning to notice similar taste to you D.A keep it up, you're doing well to stir my gig memories. Having seen Big Country back Queen and Bowie at big gigs, nothing beat seeing them 10ft away in a small crowd of a few hundred one night in Hanley,Stoke. Can I offer as my live audience participation goosebump track From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2IY29Muc-o
  24. 10lb a bush sounds good. Not really weighed mine, but think i've a bit to go. Used a combination of farm manure and straw on all my berry plants (straw to help frost resistance as bit exposed across open fields). Found sites suggesting similar off as a marker, think I got lucky, amazing how you stumble on things. Some country bumpkin. BEANS TIP(or just tosh) Talking in the local to someone who said the were struggling with beans, only flowered. Another guy piped up try spraying them with water and diluted sugar, apparently he swore this pollinated them.
  25. Smart! Have to say my Strawbs look like being surpassed by blackcurrants this year, only had the bushes in near 4 years, but bumper crop coming. Remember worrying that i'd pruned older stems back too far, was trying to maintain shape as much as anything, anyway seem to have got away with it, more to the point worked a treat. Unsure whether to do the same this time round? Can you keep pruning hard? Mind think as my wife will be fed up filling jam jars soon, don't think need worry too much, looks like a few pies may have to go into the deep freeze. Wish I could master the greens as well.
