Actually it was 907.33
I wish you would post more stuff like you used to. Id like to know what you think about the future of currencies, the future of the kingdoms of the earth, and the future of mankind.

Getting there. Bull market is still young. But beware the correction.
Looks like cgnao got it right again. Gold goes to £908 after cgnao predicts it in september 2009 and he then warns of a correction. The following day gold drops....
-
He showed up today:
Wooh, that was weird. I have been thinking of cgnao's target of £900 and there he is, on the same day. cgnao never left, but posts sparingly IMO.

I will be keen to hear your next target in gbp. Let me know (at the time) when to exchange for other assets please cgnao.
-
cgnao will be back soon with words of wisdom. He said £900 was the next target and here we are.

Yes. That means the JPMoron can buy it's doodoo naked silver shorts back at ANY paper price.
Personally, ATM, I would be more than happy to sell them mine at $140/oz (only to buy gold bullion from the proceeds, of course).
An ounce of silver has to be worth at least £100 based on todays value of the pound. Im not selling until at least £100, assuming prices remain similar to where they are now.

A new article in the telegraph "What's behind the 2010 gold rush?"
The comments are a better read.

Wait! If it disappears into nothing here, won't it then appear out of nothing somewhere else?
Are you scheming a heist goldfinger??
-
I'm surprised that RB isn't all over this announcement.
You will go blind reading papers like that.....
Realsit bear would be all over an article about gold apearing from nothing, not disapearing.
-
Silver is going to Hundreds of dollars an ounce medium/long term. Ignore the daily noise.
Yes especially the daily noise at the weekends.. What makes you say this Errol? Any particular reason or article you have read, or you just had the urge to say it???

BTW:- your spelling is atrocious
I know, I try my best but I have lysdexia...
You cant expect them to attack the messenger unless you bait them a bit first

I thought I'd add my bit too...

Gold coin sales up 400% this year over 2009. That would be the real physical stuff.....

Even more over here.
The people who have advised to buy PMs a long time ago have been proven 100% right so far. And the system is further coming apart at the seems (see EUR-zone). There are a lot of top-callers coming out of the woods now. It seems somewhat mainstream to advise to take (paper) profits in gold. That advise is very dangerous IMHO, given that the US and Europe continue to fall apart from a financial point of view and given that the only answer seems to bve money printing.
Parting with any gold or silver bullion right now would be pure madness.
EDIT: Over the shorter term, the paper price of bullion is somewhat irrelevant. I would continue to add to existing positions. As I said, we are right in a system/systemic meltdown. It has never been more obvious than now. That paper cash has any in fact value right now is somewhat surreal.
Im all in except about 10k which will go in on a dip. This is not really a dip. I want to see much lower prices before I buy some more G&S. Why would I want to swap some of my metals for some recently created digits? Id like to buy property but that is still too expensive even priced in G&S. My advice (learnt the hard way!) look at a five year chart of gold and judge for yourself if it was best to trade or just buy and hold. Oh and look at the so called dip too!

I went to the MoneyShow on Saturday, which had been preceded by a convenient fall in the price of silver.
I was comparing the price of CID who I knew were going to be there with their 100kg gold mapleleaf - the size of a pizza.
There was another company I'd not heard of before, bullionbars.eu. aka Atkinsons the Jewellers. He was not as competitively priced, as he was selling Umicore 100g bars of silver. He talked about his margins, and I said what a shame it was I couldn't buy second-hand stuff, because of the VAT only being levied on his profit margin, rather than on the full value.
He thus presented me with a 10oz Johnson Matthey bar for which I paid £174. Beat that!
He said it was worth getting in touch if I wanted to buy more, so I will. I'm sharing this news with you guys as my needs are modest.
I would be interested in one or some. What are you suggesting? Thanks for the tip.

Edit:
You must be talking about a Gold Heraeus bar.
Im sorry, you are correct. I thought the Heraeus bars had numbers but they don't, I just checked. I wish I was mistaken about them being silver, that they had numbers and were gold!
-
Interesting... Why do you prefer Heraeus over Umicore? Is it the shape/size?
The Heraeus bars are thiner, wider and longer, nicely finished on the tops. The Umicore bars are as well finished on the tops but as the tops are smaller due to the bars being thicker, the sides and base have folds and casting features. Also, I think Im right in saying that the Umicore bars are made from recycled silver. Im not too fussed but I prefer the Heraeus bars.
-
Anyone been buying the Coin invest direct Heraeus bars ?
They work out be the cheapest Kilo bars around, but im now thinking I should buy some more popular (Umicore etc) bars that have serial No's / certificates ? as they'd be recognised / easier to sell. Any opinions ?
I have both of those bars. The heraeus bars are nicer than the Unicore bars. Neither came with certificates and both have numbers on. They are equal IMO as they are both recognised kilo bars.
Anyone see this in the telegraph BTW?

I value your opinion RH, although Im firmly in the goldbug hyperinflation anti government view. I think its a dumb idea to hold dollars as they are at the heart of the problem and will ultimately fail IMO, but the dollar rallied in 2008 when most expected it to crash. So you might be right in your strategy one day, but for me, its "buy and hold silver and gold" (hey a nice little rhyme)
The thing that impresses me most about you is that you dont get abusive or worked up,regardless of what others say to you. It would be nice if you acknowledged when you were wrong or when others were right though.

Pixel looks like a bl00dy genius right now.
You mean old and grey and slightly eccentric?

$950 coming!
Finally!
Pah! Dont hold your breath (unless your in the comex)
-
Woooah, someone deadly farted in the comex?

Three naked silver shorts that were recently spotted in the neighbourhood.
They look like some of the HPC crowd to me...Realistbear and freinds

Hi Guys,
Just a quickie, what are your thoughts on these please.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILVER-BULLION-BARS-...=item4aa5f84b8c
They don't seem to be attracting much interest with only 2 hrs to go...
JL
The bars on the left look like lead to me. They have a white bloom which is typical of older lead. The bars on the right look like chinese bars. I would consider buying them if they were really cheap but only paying by pay pal using a credit card. Get assayed, if their silver, great, if not claim a refund off paypal or credit card and the only loss would be the cost of assaying and the missing out on owning the real stuff. But I would not bother as Im OK for silver thanks

Oh stop it. I was being polite to cgnao as he rarely comes out of his bunker and I wanted him to know I still love him. If the falls in price continue, which could take some weeks, then cgnao would have been absolutely spot on. Im just giving him credit for his call to £908 as resistance. Besides, compared to realistbears $300 prediction, I think cgnao's prediction is worthy of movie star admiration. You will get your movie star admiration when houses are 50 ounces so stop being all jealous
