In the 1960s and 1970s - Americans fled decaying cities for the peace and quiet of the suburbs. Now - their children are fleeing the suburbs for the hustle and bustle of the big city. Is this trend just a blip on the demographic radar or a sign that suburban life is on its way to the dustbin of history? Swathmore Station MEDIA, PA: The borough of Media is the county seat of Delaware County, Pennsylvania and is located 12 miles (19 km) west of Philadelphia. Media was incorporated in 1850 at the same time that it was named the county seat. The population was 5,533 at the 2000 census. Its school district is the Rose Tree Media School District with Penncrest High School and Springton Lake Middle School. In June 2006, it became the first fair trade town in America . . . The Media Theatre opened as a vaudeville house in 1927.[12] The first talkie film, The Jazz Singer, was shown there. It remained a popular cinema through the 1970s. In 1994, the theater was refurbished by Walter Strine, Sr. and reopened as a professional live music theater. Shows produced there include "The Full Monty", "Carousel" and "Miss Saigon". Tony Award winners Judy Kaye and David Miller have performed there.[citation needed] In June 2006, Media became the first town in the United States to follow over three-hundred towns in Europe in attaining fair trade certification. To meet the criteria for certification, Media passed a council resolution in support of fair trade, serve fair-trade coffee and tea in local government meetings and offices, ensure that a range of fair-trade products were available in local restaurants and businesses, raise popular support and provide media coverage for the fair-trade campaign, and convene a fair-trade steering committee to ensure continued commitment. == > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media,_Pennsylvania

  13. STRANGE theories about the Moon abound - here's another one: One of the most interesting of Moraney’s disclosures relates to the origin of mankind and involves the existence of a secret base on the Moon. He also mentioned that Earth’s satellite didn’t initially form in the solar system but was transported here millions of years years ago. It was used as a transport ship that carried reptilians, human-reptilian hybrids and the first humans to set foot on Earth. The Moon, as Moraney telepathically told Collier, originated in a star system located 432 light years from Earth, in the constellation Ursa Minor. Called “CHOWTA” by the Andromedans, this binary star system is enormous, holding 21 planets and four dozen moons. The moon we now call our own once orbited the 17th planet in the Chowta system. It was called Maldek and was destroyed in an ancient war between a human alliance and tyrannic Grey aliens from the Orion Empire. The Andromedans revealed to Collier that the Moon is 6,2 billion years old. This means it is older than our Solar System and couldn’t have possibly begun its existence here. Conspiracy theories regularly mention the presence of unknown compounds and chemicals on the lunar surface and that their discovery was withheld from the public. Moraney’s telepathic transmissions have led Collier into believing the same. . . . Many of the craters located on the far side of the Moon were once domed cities and space craft hangars that were “destroyed during a war that goes back 113,000 years.” These ruined structures were allegedly discovered long before the Apollo astronauts set foot on the Moon. They were first secretly explored in the early 1950s by a group of NSA (National Security Agency) astronauts, who were transported and guided by Grey aliens. The area they explored is located underneath the Jules Verne crater and consisted of an enormous underground facility the size of New York state. Inside, the remains of reptilians and humans were discovered scattered all over the place, as if a violent battle had once taken place there. Technology from Orion was also found and later reverse-engineered and multiple alien writings were discovered and translated. The underground base housed large lakes, as well as eight sealed vaults, the contents of which have not been made available by the Greys. Since then, artificial environments have been created and maintained, in order to house the ever-increasing lunar population. Over the past sixty years, it has gone up from zero to over 36,000 humans from Earth, hand-picked by the World Government. And, as the Andromedans told Collier, it is expected to grow to 600,000 in the near future. > http://humansarefree.com/2015/07/the-moon-conspiracy-fully-exposed.html

Secretly Spying on the Moon | Mysterious Universe mysteriousuniverse.org/2014/07/secretly-spying-on-the-moon/ Jul 10, 2014 - The late Ingo Swann was considered to be one of the U.S. Government's leading Remote-Viewers, those near-unique individuals whose ... > photo source: http://www.viewzone.com/anomaluna.html Axelrod asked Swann, pointedly, what he knew about our Moon. Now, finally, the purpose of the strange meeting was becoming much clearer. Someone within officialdom was secretly looking to have the Moon remote-viewed – which is precisely what Swann went ahead and did. By Swann’s own admission, he was utterly floored by what he found: during an initial targeting, his mind focused in on sensational imagery of what looked to be a huge tower, similar in size to the Secretariat Building at the United Nations, but one that soared upwards from the Moon’s surface. This was no human-made structure, Swann was told: it was the work of nothing less than mysterious extraterrestrials. In follow-up remote-viewing sessions, Swann was able to perceive on the surface of the Moon a wealth of domed structures, advanced machinery, additional tall towers, large cross-like structures, curious tubular constructions across the landscape, and even evidence of what looked like extensive mining operations. Someone, or something, had secretly constructed nothing less than a Moon-base.
  17. Did Apollo 11 discover a Base on the Farside? A photo from the online archive of the Apollo 11 mission reveals what appears to be a base on the far side of the moon. The object appears to be on the moon’s surface and is well illuminated. It is symmetrical with a long shaft separated at each end by a small sphere with another in the center. The spheres appear to be living quarters with connecting corridors. The object was recently discovered by an observer and announced today on UFO Sightings Daily. The photo, AS11-41-6155, is significant since whistleblowers have claimed that NASA regularly scrubs or destroys photos with any evidence of alien life or artificial structures. > http://exopolitics.org/apollo-11-photo-reveals-base-on-far-side-of-moon/

  21. China Wants To Build A Lunar Base On The Far Side Of The ... www.iflscience.com/china-wants-land-moons-far-side-first... 2015年7月20日 - In the early 1970s, future Apollo 17 astronaut Jack Schmitt strongly petitioned NASA to land the Apollo 17 mission on the far side of the moon, ultimately to no avail. His argument was that it would have provided unique science on a fascinating region of the lunar surface, but NASA deemed it too risky for a manned mission at the time. Now, more than 40 years later, China is planning to achieve this goal in 2018 or 2019, albeit with an unmanned lander and rover, by becoming the first nation to land on the far side of the moon – and they want it to be a stepping stone to eventually having a manned lunar base on the surface. The stationary lander and rover will jointly be called Chang’e 4, a successor to the Chang’e 3 mission, which touched down on 14 December 2013. This was the first soft-landing on the Moon since the Soviet Union’s Luna 24 in 1976. The European Space Agency (ESA) may play a role in the mission, but it's unsure what yet. With it, Chang’e 3 carried the Yutu rover, which remained operational on the surface for a few days before running into complications. . . . This was one of the reasons Schmitt was so keen for a mission here. It would have tested how astronauts would cope communicating with Earth in such a manner, which is likely to be necessary on future manned Mars missions. Perhaps with this in mind, China added in their proposal that the Chang’e 4 mission would serve as “experimental verification for [a] lunar base”. The lunar far side is appealing for a manned base, as some key science could be performed here. For example, as Earth is constantly out of view, the far side is shielded from radio interference on Earth. This means that a radio telescope could have a much clearer view of the universe.
  22. Far side of the Moon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_side_of_the_Moon The two hemispheres have distinctly different appearances, with the near side covered in multiple, large maria (Latin for 'seas,' since the earliest astronomers incorrectly thought that these plains were seas of lunar water). The far side has a battered, densely cratered appearance with few maria. Only 1% of the surface of the far side is covered by maria,[6] compared to 31.2% on the near side. One commonly accepted explanation for this difference is related to a higher concentration of heat-producing elements on the near-side hemisphere, as has been demonstrated by geochemical maps obtained from the Lunar Prospector gamma-ray spectrometer. While other factors such as surface elevation and crustal thickness could also affect where basalts erupt, these do not explain why the farside South Pole–Aitken basin (which contains the lowest elevations of the Moon and possesses a thin crust) was not as volcanically active as Oceanus Procellarum on the near side. It has also been proposed that the differences between the two hemispheres may have been caused by a collision with a smaller companion moon that also originated from the Theia collision.[7] In this model the impact led to an accretionary pile rather than a crater, contributing a hemispheric layer of extent and thickness that may be consistent with the dimensions of the farside highlands. The far side has more visible craters. This was thought to be a result of the effects of lunar lava flows, which cover and obscure craters, rather than a shielding effect from the Earth. NASA calculates that the Earth obscures only about 4 square degrees out of 41,000 square degrees of the sky as seen from the Moon. "This makes the Earth negligible as a shield for the Moon. . . . It is likely that each side of the Moon has received equal numbers of impacts, but the resurfacing by lava results in fewer craters visible on the near side than the far side, even though the [sic] both sides have received the same number of impacts."[8] Newer research shows that the reason is heat from Earth at the time when the Moon was formed.[2] . . .On October 7, 1959, the Soviet probe Luna 3 took the first photographs of the lunar far side, eighteen of them resolvable,[9] covering one-third of the surface invisible from the Earth.[10] The images were analysed, and the first atlas of the far side of the Moon was published by the USSR Academy of Sciences on November 6, 1960.[11][12] It included a catalog of 500 distinguished features of the landscape.[13] A year later the first globe (1:13 600 000 scale [14]) containing lunar features invisible from the Earth was released in the USSR, based on images from Luna 3.[15] On July 20, 1965 another Soviet probe, Zond 3, transmitted 25 pictures of very good quality of the lunar far side,[16] with much better resolution than those from Luna 3.[10] In particular, they revealed chains of craters, hundreds of kilometers in length.[10] In 1967 the second part of the "Atlas of the Far Side of the Moon" was published in Moscow,[17][18] based on data from Zond 3, with the catalog now including 4,000 newly discovered features of the lunar far side landscape.[10] In the same year the first "Complete Map of the Moon" (1:5 000 000 scale[14]) and updated complete globe (1:10 000 000 scale), featuring 95 percent of the lunar surface,[14] were released in the Soviet Union.[19][20] . . . Some conspiracy theorists, notably Milton William Cooper, have alleged that some Apollo astronauts had seen UFOs on the far side of the Moon but were told to keep quiet about them.[25][26] Some have allegedly reported seeing an alien base (code named "Luna") and even encountered aliens who told them to stay off the Moon. Some photographs circulated on the Internet purport to show a large "castle" on the Moon. NASA states that these claims are hoaxes.[27]

The largest far side features are Mare Moscoviense in the upper left and Tsiolkovskiy crater in the lower left. A thin sliver of shadowed area of moon is visible on its right side. “It is surprising how much brighter Earth is than the moon," said Adam Szabo, DSCOVR project scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. "Our planet is a truly brilliant object in dark space compared to the lunar surface.” Once EPIC begins regular observations next month, NASA will post daily color images of Earth to a dedicated public website. These images, showing different views of the planet as it rotates through the day, will be available 12 to 36 hours after they are acquired.
  24. "Nice to hear from you Pix. Hope you get proper access..." I second that. I expect that the laws are somewhat more fair in the UK on these matters than in the US. As it is, they make too many (wrong) assumptions
