I often edit titles on my own threads, to make them better reflect the flavor of the postings underneath.

I find this tends to draw a larger audience to the thread. Now, it has become such an ingrained habit,

that I also sometimes change the titles of threads started by others.

I am now welcoming feedback. What do you think of this practice

I attempted to vote and got this:

Fatal error: Call to a member function css_inline() on a non-object in /home/greenene/public_html/sources/classes/class_display.php on line 1223

Doesn't mean a lot to me; it may to the techies.

I got the same. I am not sure why.

But the votes are getting registered anyway.

I have changed something minor, that may fix the problem

I think as long as the titles don't change so much that it's impossible to recognise them it's fine and usually for the better.

I added a subtitle the other day on a thread that seemed to have a lot about bees in it, and on which I added more articles on bees. I hope that made the thread title more meaningful.

At least the error is consistent:

Fatal error: Call to a member function css_inline() on a non-object in /home/greenene/public_html/sources/classes/class_display.php on line 1223

The bad news is your change didn't help :(

Noticed it on a couple of threads, but perhaps if you give a short explanation as to why, you may avoid any type of critical response.

Either way commented before, great site Dr B, continue learning plenty, with the influx of new posters the site gets better but the tone and respect remains, even with some of the more extreme views.

I was ok till you changed the title of this thread. Now I am very disillusioned...

LOL. You will hate the new poll !

But I realised there was a bigger issue at stake here

Please vote again. Sorry about that
