Netwriter, these pins are a big help to newcomers - much appreciated. I am sure, many people come across certain sites such as GEI looking for answers in these difficult times, like what they see and stay. Likewise a big hand to the old hands here & not forgetting the patriach of the site & Mr Protect Yourself. I am not pissing in any pockets but through this board have either held back from making a buy or gone in as an overall part of the due diligence, not to mention educate myself in certain areas that I fell short in.

For example, thanks to Kers latest chart it reinforced my call to buy more G on opening this morning at USD 824.00 - lucky on the day, which is looking pretty good tonight.

So my recommendation to all newcomers is to read these key posted threads of interest - there is a wealth of experience, intelligence & sometimes wacky humour here. Cheers.

Lessons of Psychology?

Steve, I am trying to find the link to a thread with a presentation by a well-known

find manager, who talked about psychological traps that people fall into.

I think you posted it originally.

There are various short cuts people take, and one thing they do, is they assume they

know more, and can make better informed decisions when they have more data.

The reality is that the quality of the decision often increases little with more data.

The presentation also included some discussion of "Groupthink" traps.

Do you recall this post? Can you help me find it?

Oh, there was a paper article (Telegraph ?), which listed people. Maybe you mean that one.

I think you're right. Such a list would be interesting, also to see WHAT was predicted and how they will predict on from here.

Isn't the Money Masters documentary by Bill Still listed under good videos?
