  1. airedale are on holiday at the moment till the end of January, so orders will be delayed. Edit - there isn't much left, I had my eye to buy some lunar tigers - all gone
  2. I think the scrap price is the most important one to watch - unfortunate that theres no graphs. A closing gap between scrap price to spot price signals industrial demand oustripping mined supply.
  3. Former bank with vault and safes recently come up for sale. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sa...&radius=5.0 Should answer any questions about where to store it.
  4. Gold sovs have gone up steadily. The Royal mint through 2007 sold standard sovereigns at £150, £160 in 2008. Now the 2009 ones are £170. The cheeky buggers have also raised the remaining old stock of 2008 to £170 too. If any one can find sovereigns under £150 then they are a good buy today. I remember they were £119 in 2005 from goldline.
  5. Gold undervalued today or was gold overvalued back then?
  6. A young mother pushing a pram behind me in the queue will go "but didn't you see Jason Hommel's Mad for Money show last night, he says silver will go to £10,000/oz!?" I'll go, yeah yeah, give me that fiat currency, I'll take the risk in the face of fiat adversity! [bP. shares are like 50p each in todays money at that point in time and houses £50K each LOL].
  7. There will be day I will trek up to London, and slam down a 1KG bar on the counter, after queuing 4 hours after all the buyers have been served before me. I will shout "SELL", and all the 50+ person queue behind me will go WWWHAATTT!? and then they will look at me like I'm some sort of alien, or a punk thats shouted something blasphemous to a bunch of highly religious satanists. That day will come.
  8. Lol I notice Airedale are running low - they did have maples and eagles - all gone Weightons, nearly all big coins, gone, big bars, gone Goldline - pretty much out I think its a matter of weeks before there'll be nothing - only 2009 stuff.
  9. Dont touch em' with your hands! The moisture from your hands will happily ruin the surface. Always wear gloves if you must handle them, and keep them in their original containers. I think thats why dealers offer low prices when they buy them off you - because silver tarnishes.
  10. LOL I recall talking to an older friend who remember the last gold rushes. She said dealers were buying gold on the streets of London from the public. Of course the dealers weighed the gold and paid what was due according to weight. The public were happy leaving with a wad of notes. BUT the dealers got even a better deal, people were handing in old heirlooms, many years old. These items were in fact more valuable many times over the gold content. Don't forget old sovereigns command a numismatic premium.
  11. I think sugar has been over looked. It never really webnt up much, nor has it gone down much. It is worth putting some money into that commodity I think.
  12. http://www.airedalecoins.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=37_39 These guys are pretty competitive. Most coins are still £14 each. New 2009 Kooks look a good buy and they have a few in stock at £14 each. Orders over £80, special delivery is £6.
  13. not worth risking it getting lost in the post TBH. 25 separate parcels? I dont fancy it. Whats the odds of one parcel getting lost 1 in 25? Check if it is recorded delivery.
  14. Welcome from HPC. You have to learn the secret handshake and you must obey a member number who is more senior than you.
  15. Note to self - when you see 1g silver bars produced [and they were in the 80s ] The price of silver was high enough to warrant its production its time to sell silver.
  16. Its starting, people will be so sick of houseprices that they don't want to know. People are happy counting their profits. People are not happy counting their losses.
  17. Hey I just checked the cookson site. You can play about with the basket at the checkout to see their inventories, you have to be logged in. Well last week, you could buy 120 [one hundred and twenty] 1KG silver bars - remember I told you about the special offer, you could get free postage. Well they are cleaned out - theres only one bar left. I'm not kidding you. I'll recheck in a few days in case its a computer glitch. [or they go out of stock] edit - well i ve seen them out of stock a few times, if they know they can shift £30K of silver, then they will keep buying it in, in those quantities
  18. Interesting find http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1kg-Silver-paper-wei...A1%7C240%3A1318
  19. Woohoo, so something is going to happen with silver soon. Its a bit like reading the TV times, TA works like a cut up tv schedule. Its all jumbled up and you have piece it all together.
  20. Thieves sold a 62 pound silver bar for $30 - they thought it was lead http://www.myeyewitnessnews.com/news/local...oN4jrtMFqw.cspx
