romans holiday
Hey RH, how's the gold:silver ratio doing? Dawdling in the doldums [if we could call it that] at the mo.... but I noticed it dawdled at 70... so 50 could still be on the cards. One more spending spree by Mr market should do it. HPCsoYESTERDAY
actually come to think about it, why are there monthly installments when the silver thread just plods on month by month untouched? EDIT - DOH! wrong thread
romans holiday
With quite large cash reserves at the moment, I'd consider buying a little silver should the price dip to around 1,350 Yen/ $15.

G0ldfinger
Is this the really BIG PICTURE in gold:silver? http://gold.approximity.com/gold-silver_watch.html
TrueNorth
Do your own gold and silver charts in various currencies here; http://goldprice.org/live-gold-price.html Thanks Pixel8r, I am familiar with that site. For some reason the past week or so the java script isn't firing (in Opera). I did a workaround, opening the page in Safari instead, and the other day, that stopped working. Grrr! update: just checked, and it is working again in Safari.

Mr Pipples
Perfect storm for silver brewing as antibiotics substitute--Silver Institute - http://www.mineweb.com/mineweb/view/minewe...5&sn=Detail Silver may soon replace antibiotics as an alternative for healing, and is increasingly gaining ground in the burgeoning field of nanotechnology. aardvark
Perfect storm for silver brewing as antibiotics substitute--Silver Institute - http://www.mineweb.com/mineweb/view/minewe...5&sn=Detail Not new news but of note... silver is a good antibacterial but its not really the universal bacteria killer that a lot of people assume. There are many bacteria that are resistant to silver and a number of others that have developed a resistance. Its definitely useful but the way its talked about on the internet you would think it can kill 100% of bacteria all the time and that simply isn't true. HPCsoYESTERDAY
silver is being pushed into a tight wedge - it doesn't want to break through resistance but it doesn't want to go down too much either...
Happy Nihilist
silver is being pushed into a tight wedge - it doesn't want to break through resistance but it doesn't want to go down too much either... A bearish divergence has developed in Silver vs RSI, MACD and SILVER:GOLD ratio. Typically this would suggest silver is "ripe" for a correction, but obviously it does not guarantee one. Will have to watch this action going forward.
Happy Nihilist
Is this the really BIG PICTURE in gold:silver? http://gold.approximity.com/gold-silver_watch.html Gary Tanashian makes a compelling case that it is not. He sees a bull flag consolidation in the Gold:Silver ratio, which would imply another strong move up in the price of Gold relative to Silver. Well, at least for the foreseeable future. Perhaps in the really BIG picture your pattern still holds though? http://biiwii.blogspot.com/2009/10/gsr.html
drbubb
I have DRAWN IN SOME CYCLICAL INDICATORS on GF's Property-in-Silver Chart If the trendline has any meaning, we may see a bounce from here (as Silver falls?)

Very nice. Let's see how it works out. Personally, I think the cycles are longer, and we have to finish off the last big one.
